img New plates hit Gauteng roads
With number plates reaching the end of their lifecycle in Gauteng, a new system has been implemented that will feature two letters, two numbers and then two more letters, obviously followed by the Gauteng coat of arms and then “GP”, as the pictures here display.

The final old number plate that was issued in Gauteng was ZXS 204 GP, so while there was still room for a few more cars, the registration cycle was pretty close to its end in any case. Hence the first new registration, BB 01 BB GP has hit the streets.
